An introduction to Lift Foils and a quick guide on places to efoil in England.
Hydrofoils should always be lightweight to glide over water effortlessly. However, they also have to be durable, which is why we use a unique marbled carbon fiber frame on each of our eFoils. The unique frame allows us to make a Lift Foil extremely light without compromising its durability.
We forge this durable carbon fiber frame using refined steel tools at high temperatures. These unique circumstances give the material a perfect balance of lightweight and durability while looking very good.
Each of our eFoils also uses the premium proprietary gear that gives them a very premium feel. Complementing the carbon fiber is a motor that pushes the hydrofoil forward, allowing it to float on any surface. The motor we use is also completely silent, ensuring nothing to bother you while you ride.
The motor also comes with a massive lithium-ion battery that powers the hydrofoil on the water. A single two-hour charge is enough for you to ride along for 100 minutes nonstop. Each hydrofoil also comes with a Bluetooth remote, which they can use to control speed. But if you don’t like something about the hydrofoil, you can easily change and customize it as well.
Lift Foils started as a small shop in Puerto Rico that worked to make the ultimate hydrofoil. And since 2010, each iteration of their eFoil is helping them inch closer to that goal. The co-founder of Lift Foil, Nick Leason, came up with the idea of the hydrofoil and was responsible for crafting the first one.
As an avid surfer, Leason was also an engineer; he used his expertise to create a surfboard that could effortlessly glide on any body of water. His hydrofoil didn’t need water or wind to work, making them especially enticing to people. Leason’s relentlessness for perfection also permeates the rest of the company, as we don’t cut corners. Each board crafted is tested to ensure its quality by avid surfers. Today, Lift Foils has multiple demo locations worldwide where buyers can test an eFoil before buying one.
Cornwall has many surf spots, with Fistral Beach being especially popular. It has big crowds but a few quiet spots, with smaller waves where you can easily strut your stuff on your efoil.
Thurso East is a great place to efoil in England, especially thanks to its smaller waves. Of course, if people want more of a challenge, the beach has a few corners for bigger waves.
Croyde is a great place to efoil in England for experts who want a challenge. The beach has big waves and even bigger crowds, so be sure to bring you A-game.
If you’re looking to experience the incredible fun of eFoiling, you can test one at your nearest Lift Foil demo location. You can try out the efoil to see if it is right for you before buying it.
